Nobel Lecture by Sir Martin J. Evans – Media Player at Nobelprize.org

In 2007 the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Sir Martin J. Evans, Mario Cappecchi and Oliver Smithies. The Laureates genetically modified and implanted embryonic stem cells into adult female mice, and that way creating genetically modified offspring.

The award shows that the Nobel Prize Commitee recognises stem cell research and consideres it as a vital part of future medicine. The link underneath directes you to the Official Web Site of the Nobel Prize and Sir Martin J. Evans’s Nobel Lecture.
